Bree's Sire: Prairie Nights Imagine This 90 EVE

Imagine This: The Dream Buck

Debra Day Sanders. Owner of Sweet Memory's Nubians.

I have loved this buck since I took possession of him at 2 weeks old! He throws correctness, improves udders and has a great temperament. When he was between 2 & 3, I noticed something "strange", something that didn't seem to fit! On closer examination, I discovered his teats were much bigger than normal.....on CLOSER examination, I discovered they were descended and ENLARGED.

I did some research and found that bucks with "enlarged" teats are considered "very milky". I even found a picture of a buck, being shown, with an obvious udder! I was reminded of this today, when he raised his back leg to scratch and I noticed his good size teats. We have LOTS of milk on our farm and I know at least some of it comes from him! If I were younger, and didn't mind being tied down, I'd go on test. Just to verify.

Prairie Nights Imagine This will always have a place on our farm and my heart will hurt when he passes on.

And now for the icing on the cake.....at 5 years old, he got a 90 EVE on Linear Appraisal yesterday!!!

Bree has given us a great opportunity to add bulk, milk, and style in our herd.

she is always one of our most exciting does to freshen every year. Bree had twin doelings her first freshening, skipped a year, and freshened in 2023 with a buck and doe. Brownie Bree's doeling has been retained.

Bree is G6S normal by pedigree, and CAE negative 2021, 2022.
